Sunpenny Publishing was started in 2007 by Jo Holloway (née Howe) and her husband Andrew. Our very first and most successful author was Julie McGowan, who quickly became a best seller; over time we have published four of her books – The Mountains Between, Just One More Summer, Don’t Pass Me By, and Close To You – and a delightful short story in ebook format, Hay Fever. In 2011 we gained an investor/new director, which contributed to our growth.

However, due to health problems, in 2014 I (Jo) had to step back, and we wound our traditional publishing operations down, focusing on starting our new hybrid, ScriptCraft – individual and full publishing services to authors and other publishers – and this continues, but as my health improves, I am now able to begin again with traditional publishing too, which delights my heart!

In all, we have published 43 books traditionally, and our hybrid arm, ScriptCraft, has published seven more and has several currently underway.
